Honda Cars India Ltd. records Annual Domestic Sales of 192,059 units with 2% growth in FY 2015 - 16

New Delhi, April 1, 2016: Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, recorded annual domestic sales of 192,059 units during FY 2015 – 16 recording 2% growth over last financial year. The company had sold 189,062 units during FY 2014 – 15.

Yes, you read it right. Soon you may be able to buy your car for free. The government is working on a scheme to provide Electric cars on zero down payments. The main aim of the scheme is to turn India a 100% electric vehicle nation by 2030.

Power minister Piyush Goyal stated, "India can become the first country of its size which will run 100 percent of electric vehicles. We are trying to make this programme self-financing. We don't need one rupee support from the government. We don't need one rupee investment from the people of India."

Toyota a Step Further, to Provide Automatic Braking System Sooner than Others.

The Japanese automobile company, Toyota announced to provide Automatic Braking System in all its vehicle by 2017. Toyota makes this move to speed up on the pledge from most automakers to provide automatic braking by 2022.

 

Cheaper Car Loans Coming April

Car loans to get cheaper regardless of whether Raghuram Rajan cuts interest rate or not. The revised rates will lower the amount one earns on deposits and make car loans cheaper.

Cut in small saving rates will bring down the bank deposit rates. Lenders should wait for the monitory policy review, due on 5th April. RBI is expected to cut the bank interest rates by at least 25 bps.
Last Friday, the government reduced the interest rate on various schemes by 60 – 130 bps.
