The 2023 Seltos Facelift is a long due from Kia India and we have been waiting for the updated mid-size SUV for quite some time. While there were a lot of speculations around the arrival of the panoramic sunroof in the facelift model, the latest round of spy images has confirmed it. Yes, it is correct, the test mule of the Seltos Facelift was spotted with an uncamouflaged roof area, thus revealing the presence of the highly anticipated panoramic sunroof. For reference, the current model only gets a single-pane sunroof.
2023 Kia Seltos Facelift: Expected New Features
The facelift model will surely be a huge step-up in terms of technology as compared to the outgoing model. Some of the major highlights include Level 2 ADAS, dual 10.25-inch screens working as driver's instrument cluster and infotainment system, a rotary-type gear selector replacing the conventional gear level, and more.
2023 Kia Seltos Facelift: Powertrain
The current 1.5-litre CRDi diesel and 1.5-litre smart-stream petrol engine will continue to do the duty on the facelift model. The 1.4-litre tGDi unit, which has now been discontinued due to the BS6 phase 2 emission norms will be replaced by the latest 1.5-litre tGDi engine. It is rated for a power output of 160 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox and a 6-speed iMT could also be a part of the package.
2023 Kia Seltos Facelift: Launch Timeline and Rivals
If the media reports are something to go by, the Kia Seltos Facelift will debut in July 2023. Once launched, it will rekindle its rivalry with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
