Tata Altroz iCNG Will Get Sunroof, Wireless Charger & More: All Confirmed Features

Tata Motors has finally revealed the brochure & full feature list of the soon to launch Altroz iCNG. Tata seems all set to disrupt the CNG hatchback segment with its industry first innovation in the form of Twin Cylinder Technology. The innovative twin cylinder technology from Tata Motors solves one of the biggest problems of CNG cars - the lack of boot space due to one large CNG cylinder. However, starting from Altroz CNG, all the CNG cars from Tata would come with two smaller CNG cylinders, enabling a practical & usable space in the boot. In the case of Altroz iCNG, there's a usable boot space of 150 litres along with two smaller CNG cylinders of 30 litres capacity each, taking the total CNG storage capacity to the standard 60 litres without eating up the whole boot space. That's some clever engineering and space management by Tata.

Apart from its unique & innovative twin-cylinder technology, the Altroz iCNG also offers some advanced & segment-first CNG tech. These include:

  • Industry-first single advanced ECU
  • Industry-first direct start in CNG mode
  • Micro-switch to keep the car switched off at the time of refueling
  • Advanced materials in the iCNG kit to prevent leakage
  • Thermal incident protection
  • Leak detection
  • Fire protection device
  • Auto-switch between fuels
