Kerala Follows Delhi’s Footsteps. Bans Diesel Vehicles that are a Decade Old

The National Green Tribunal Circuit Bench on Monday banned light and heavy diesel vehicles that are more than a decade old. Six major cities including the capital Thiruvananthapuram and the commercial capital Kochi have put under the diesel ban.

“All the diesel vehicles whether light or heavy which are more than 10 years shall not be permitted to ply on the roads in the major cities like Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur,” the Bench said in its order.

Maruti Suzuki Aims Big, Wants To Double its Network by 2020

Maruti Suzuki Pvt. Ltd, India’s largest car maker by sales plans to expand its empire and sets a target of selling 2 million cars by 2020.It also aims to double its network to 4,000 outlets spread across the country.


 

The company, which ended 2014-15 fiscal at a total of 1,820 traditional dealerships spread across 1,470 cities, plans to add 200 outlets in the current fiscal. Suzuki also wants to expand the NEXA network, currently playing with 127 outlets, to 250.

Hyundai Posts Highest Domestic Sales of 484,324 Units with 15.1% Growth in FY’15-16

New Delhi, April 1, 2016: Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the country’s leading car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter achieved its highest-ever financial Year domestic sales of 484,324 units compared to 420,668 units in 2014-15 registering a growth of 15.1%. For the month of March 2016, Hyundai registered domestic sales of 41,201 units and exports of 10,251 units with cumulative sales of 51,452 units. Hyundai March’16 Domestic Sales Grew by 4.2%
