Mahindra is all set to let out its new and modern SUV – The Mahindra NuvoSport. To be launched on 4th April, this 4-meter long vehicle is a facelifted Quanto. Looks like NuvoSport is the company’s rescue system for the not so impressive Quanto. Quanto, when launched, showed a very unimpressive sale.
The NuvoSport is a vehicle moderately backed up with features and style.
Exterior
The exterior looks all modern and likely to appeal the urban clan. It has a faux hood scoop, rugged back bumper, LED DRLs and a faux skid plate. The 5 spoke alloy wheels adds to the modernity. Vertically stacked tail lamps and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel gives it an SUV look.
Interior
The beige themed interior gives it a friendly and bright look. It is a 5+2 seat segment with 2 small jump seats located at the rear.
Features
Moderate with features it has an updated steering wheel, instrument dials, 2- DIN music system with touch screen displays for top ends and eight-way adjustable seats with a lumbar support.
Safety
The NuvoSport is expected to have ABS+EBD and a dual airbag system standard across all its segments.
Engine
The Mahindra NuvoSport is expected to run on a 1.2 Lt mHawk engine and a 1.5Lt 3 cylinder diesel engine. 5-speed manual transmission across all segments. Also, the petrol version may get an AMT.
This new generation platform of Scorpio has been Researched and Developed by the Mahindra’s Research Valley in Chennai. The Mahindra’s in-house design team has worked well on its exteriors and interiors.
Mahindra, however, has not disclosed much about it’s ‘out of nowhere’ NuvoSport.
