Mercedez- Benz petrol variants to be soon launched in India

Supreme- court ban on over 2,000 cc diesel cars in Delhi led the German car-maker to bring back its petrol models for the Indian markets. The automobile owner intends to sell all of its petrol models that the company will bring to the country. If we look at its petrol cars then, around Ten years ago they had only petrol engines so it's not that unusual for the Benz. The German luxury automaker plans to launch its petrol engine cars of all the models in its Indian line-up around  September. But not leaving the hopes, the company is sure that soon a solution to this diesel ban would be found as India is among their key markets.

On this occasion the, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, Mr.Roland Folger stated that, "We will be complete with petrol engines in September. Then we will have basically a petrol variant in each of our carlines available. It was a decision we made in the middle of last year." He went on to add, "Ten years ago roughly we had only petrol engines so it's not that unusual for us. It gives customer a choice it is not so much about new segment really."

Recently, Mercedes-Benz was able to launch its sixth vehicle in India this year, named - the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43. The car is a two-seater roadster, which is also the tenth AMG product in India and comes powered by 3-litre V6 bi-turbo petrol engine that offers 367bhp for power and develops a massive torque of 520Nm.
