To create the well deserved excitement 2 weeks prior to the launch of Honda WR-V, the company has let lose some specifications which the car would carry with pride. The sub-4 meter SUV will be based on the concept and design of hatchback Jazz. It is expected to be priced around 7 Lakh to 10 Lakh rupees. 
 

Talking about the exterior, the car shall have chrome bar on the front grille, headlamps with DRLs, faux skid plates, body cladding on the wheel arches and door panels, and diamond cut alloy wheels with a wheel base of 2,555 mm.. The WR-V is 3,999 mm long, 1,734 mm wide and has a height of 1,601 mm. The S variant of petrol model is 1,087 kg while the diesel model is 1,176 kg. The best feature in this range of cars is that WR-V shall have an electric sunroof. 

Inside, the car is propped up with latest technological features like automatic climate control, 17.7 cm infotainment system with satellite navigation, keyless entry, button start/stop system and cruise control, voice recognition, Bluetooth, USB connectivity. The system also supports Wifi and Mirror Link. 

When there are so many features included in the car, how can it lack in safety? It possesses ABS with EBD, dual airbags, multi angle rear view camera and brake override system.

On the transmission front, the petrol engine is likely to be 1.2 liters 4-cylinder SOHC which will provide peak power of 89 bhp @ 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 110 Nm @ 4,800 rpm mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Unlike the Jazz there is no CVT on offer for the WR-V while the diesel engine will have the specification of 1.5 liters 4-cylinder DOHC which is rated at peak power supply of 99 bhp @ 3,600 rpm and peak torque sypply of  200 Nm @ 1,750 rpm mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The SUVish car shall go against Fors Ecosport, Vitara Brezza and Fiat Avventura.
