The upgraded versions of V40 and V40 Cross Country membered the family of Sweden Automobile Manufacturers- Volvo after XC90 and XC60 performed absolutely great on Indian roads. This compact premium estate hatchback was launched on 15th December'17 lying in the price bracket of Rs. 25.49 lakhs - Rs. 27.2 lakhs. In diesel, V40 has variants of D2 R design and D3 Kinetic while V40 CC has Petrol Driven T4 Momentum and deisel based D3 Inscription.
Highlights:
The new car showcases all new T-shaped Thor's Hammer like LED headlights which was first seen in XC90. An upright grille is added to make the car look wider and bolder on road. New alloy wheel pattern is also added with a three-wheel design. Interior-
The cars possess 2.0-litre 150bhp 20V Turbo Diesel Engine offering maximum power and torque of 88kW- 140 kW and 280-400 Nm respectively. The steering wheel is powered and of Rack and Pinion typed with a 6- speed gear box and ability to displace at 1969 cc. The cabin carries Engine Start/Stop Button, Remote Trunk and Fuel Lid Opener and Accessory Power Outlet available in both automatic and manual operation. It claims to seat 5 passengers comfortably.
Exterior:
The alloy wheel is 16 inches tall. Its style is uplifted by the panoramic glass roof and various color options, ie, passion red, ice white, black sapphire and Caspian blue metallic, rebel blue, bright silver and osmium grey metallic and inscription electric silver metallic.
Safety:
The car has been installed with traction control, Emergency Brake Assistance with ABS and whiplash protection along with dual Airbags, dynamic stability and safety cage.
Competition:
it is expected to face tough face off with Mercedez- Benz A class, Audi A3 and Clubman Cooper.
