Volvo Plans To Expand Production In India

Even though the Sweden owned Chinese Glee car manufacturers have been present in the Indian market for the last10 years, but it hasn't yet registered any whopping units sale set up an assembly in India itself.In comparison to the dominating companies that sell 36000 units together in a year, Volvo manages to sell only 1600 units. BMW has a car assembly in Chennai and Mercedez-Benz in Pune, and Volvo wishes to enter the same league by constructing an assembly plant in India very soon, confirmed by high officials of the company. In that respect, the company is thoroughly studying the economic growth of the country, retail expansion and numerous model launches by various companies. The company realizes that it lacks voluminous sales in the country, which might be due to the import of CBUs to our country which increases the customs duty imposed on the vehicles and in turn increasing its costing, making it a little less popular choice among the customers. Therefore, to solve this problem, the company has taken a decision to open a plant in India so as to make its product more cost-effective.
 
Also, it has recently launched Polestar S60 @52.5 Lakhs, the sporty sedan and some other products available in the market include SUV XC60 and XC90, Hatchback V40 and saloons S60, and S90.
