India and Europe has their respective automotives bestseller companies, ie, Tata Motors and Volkswagen. We have been witnessing Tata Motors in a lot of activity with their new unit TaMo and there recent launch of Hexa. They have also revealed the C-Cube car concept. It has also shifted from six platforms based vehicles to two platforms instead, boosting up its cost effectiveness. With this partnership, they might be able to adopt the technique of voluminous productions of Volkswagen and improve their overall development as a collective automobile industry.

With its Polo and Vento in the market, Volkswagen is struggling over leverage vehicles architecture and Tata Motors can possibly come to their rescue. The two might share  modular platforms of the advanced modular platform (AMP) being developed by Tata Motors. In return, Volkswagen may offer Tata with technical knowhow on producing multiple models based on modular architecture.

They are likely to ink and announce the partnership once all is decided in the geneva motor show 2017. It is believed to be a partnership like never before, creating a huge impact on India and its prevailing smaller industries. Both are financially constrained at present and wish to climb up the ladder of largest sellers of passenger vehicles in India. Recently, Microsoft partnered with Tata over technologically driverless car transmission that would build safer cars with interconnectivity.
