Toyota And Suzuki To Collaborate Over Technological Aspects

Last year in October, Toyota and Maruti were seen over discussions of a soon-to-be collaboration over the development of their respective companies in terms of technology and provision of safety and advanced infrastructural features. Now comes the nod to the alliance, which seeks to build a better future in the Automobile Industry together.

There is no doubt in the very fact that Maruti is the popular choice of our country in the B and C segment while Toyota still struggles to climb up the ladder of the market share and number of units sold in our market. This collaboration will benefit both the companies, especially Toyota with the collaborative ideas towards free and fair competitions and  mutual supply of vehicular components via Original Equipment Manufacturers. While Toyota will benefit with the intensive customer and dealership chain that is operated very well by Maruti Suzuki, Suzuki will enjoy Toyota's huge investment in the research and development areas including automated driving, AI and lower-emission cars.

Akio Toyoda-President of Toyota said in the press conference that “Both companies want to co-operate toward enabling all people to truly experience the joy of mobility. I am thankful for having been given this opportunity to work together with a company like Suzuki which overflows with the spirit of challenge. Toyota looks forward to learning much.”
