Top SUVs at Geneva Motor Show 2017

 
The Auto showcase stands firm for its revelation of what's new! All the futuristic concepts are put on watch here, be it about future collaborations, new technological advancements, supercars or brand new passenger vehicles in all segments. The SUVs this time made a lot of buzz around. Geneva motor show 2016 was held at Palexpo Arena next to the city's airport which showcased more than hundred news cars at the show. The Geneva International Motor Show was made open to the public from 9-19 March 2017, just like every year. Talking about 2017, here, we bring you topmost SUVs that will break cover:
 
1. Volvo xc60
 The SUV has been in much of talks to be unveiled at GMS'17,based on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) design platform similar to XC90.
 
Technicalities:
 
Thor Hammer headlamps
 
The PowerPulse diesel engine in two variants - the 187bhp D4 diesel and a 232bhp D5 diesel
 
The petrol version in two variants: T5 254bhp turbo engine and supercharged  316bhp T6 engine
 
Hybrid version present in T8 407 bhp Twin Engine petrol plug-in hybrid. 
 
2. Mercedez Maybach 
 

It is the most expensive SUV till date. Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet searches for something 'unique' with its highly stylised quotient.

Longer wheel base and extended body structure, hence, extra room for passengers

Twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre 621 bhp V12 petrol engine

The standard automatic seven-speed torque converter equipped with a separate transfer case

3. Audi Q8 Concept with Sports

Audi thrilled the auto expo with its new release of the conceptualised Q8 SUV which much sportier and high-performance oriented. 

Technicalities:

Powered by a 3.0 TFSI 443 bhp engine producing in sync with Electrically Powered Compressor (EPC) 

Controlled via eight speed automatic gearbox

Quattro four-wheel drive. 

Octogonal grille with all-black treatment and silver surrounds 

gaping air intakes

4. Range Rover Velar

The Velar is the latest in the Range Rover family and the passionate project of the visionary Ratan Tata also was let lose here. It is expected to be launched in the country in the later part of 2018.

237bhp 500Nm 3.0 liter turbocharged Ingenium diesel
