Tata HEXA launch on 18th Jan'17

Tata is expected to launch its SUV-like crossover HEXA at the start of the year, with the idea to move ahead of the "taxi manufacturers" image. It will lie in the price bracket of 12-18 lakhs, depending on the variant you select. 

HIGHLIGHTS:

The vehicle showcases 'Impact Design Philosophy' which makes it overcome harmful debris with ease and gives it a SUVish rich stance. The car possesses Hill Ascent and Descent control along with driving modes of auto, dynamic, comfort, or rough road to choose. Also, it will be available in multiple diesel variants of XT4X4, XT,XM and XE in manually driven and XTA and XMA in automatic version.

EXTERIOR:

The car is propped up with Projector headlights, LED taillights and 19 inch alloy wheel with a base of 2,850 mm and ground clearance at a decent of 200 mm. The car is pretty voluminous owing to the 4,788 mm of length, 1,791 mm of height and 1,903 mm of width. It is given a fine look by adding roof rails and dual-tone front grille and bumper. It holds 2.2 litre 12 V Diesel engine with apex power and torque of 150 hp and 400Nm respectively and mileage of 14-17.5 kmpl . 

INTERIOR:

The model that appeared in the Auto Expo had beige and black cabin which might vary with the variants that will be launched. The cabin will have 5-inch infotainment system compatible with all devices (Connect Next Touchscreen) and a rotating knob to set the driving mode. It also has 6-speed AT/MT gear box, climate control and JBL sound system. It is 6-7 seater with Benecke- Kaliko leather upholstery and flip back seats. The rear has boot space of 129 litres than can be increased to 671 litres by flipping the seats down. 

SAFETY:

The car carries 6 airbags with Hill Ascent and Descent control, traction control ESP, central locking system, ABS with EBD, cruise control system, Electronic Stability Program,and Brake Assist.   

COMPETITION:

The car will have Mahindra XUV500 and Maruti Ignis along with itself in the market.
