Skoda Automobile company launched its 'favourite amongst the customers' luxurious executive sedan Octavia Facelift starting at the affordable price of Rs. 15.49 lakhs. It is the first launch by the manufacturers in India succeeding which three are in line for this year. The company has expanded its volume-selling by 15% this year.

Transmission:
It is based on 2.0-litre16V Diesel Engine and 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine capable of generating 141bhp@3500-4000rpm of maximum power in combination with 320Nm@1750-3000rpm of maximum torque. The vehicle can go till 205 km/hr of top speed and accelerate to 100 km in 9.35 recorded seconds. Transmission is handled via 6-speed automated and manual FWD gearbox depending on the model you select. Diesel based saloon gives 17km/hr mileage in city and 21 km/hr on highways while petrol based saloon gives 12.7 km/hr and 16.7 km/hr respectively.
Exterior:
The front carries LED headlamps with a crisscross black and narrow front grille and is 1814 mm in width. On the sides, it has 16-inch alloy wheels with a 4670 mm length. It is present in Rio red, brilliant silver, candy white, race blue, magic black and cappuccino beige colour variants.
Interior and safety:
The vehicle has an ambient interior with leather upholstery. The cabin boasts 8.2 Inch infotainment system compatible to Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto. The luxury essentials like air quality and climate control, powered steering, boot space of 430 liters and safety essentials like navigation system, dual airbags, anti-lock braking system, front and rear parking sensors, central locking, Smart Car Entry, Engine start and stop button, crash sensor, brake assist, engine immobiliser and rearview camera are all available in the sedan, though the voice control technology has still not been added to this model.
