Polestar – Volvo Relaunches its Electric Standalone Company

Polestar, a company that was bought by the Geely-owned automaker Volvo Cars in 2015 will now be producing its own brand vehicle. It has also decided to continue to deliver the high performance upgrades to the Volvo range as well.

The company has unanimously decided to make Polestar Performance business a standalone brand in its group. The brand will solely be focusing on electric cars.

The new range of electric cars, so offered by Polestar under the brand name of Volvo cars will be offering electric vehicles and is likely to give a tough competition to other majors like Tesla and the Merc AMG, especially on electric supercars.

"Polestar will be a credible competitor in the emerging global market for high-performance electrified cars," the company officials said.

The company, as per experts, is likely to make China and Unites States its major market.

The planning, development and execution of this project is in full swing and is likely to be implemented very soon. It has been seen lately that the auto companies and now diverted to think, produce and drive electric.
