Priced at Rs. 53.2 lakhs, the all new Petrol driven Range Rover Evoque was has been set for sales, after the Pure, SE, SE Dynamic, HSE and HSE Dynamic diesel derivatives were launched in India in Dec'16.
Safety and Transmission:
Much wanted features like 8 airbags, hill descent control, child seat ISOFIX anchor points, dynamic stability control, ABS, seatbelt reminder and Range Rover special smart key controls set the safety quotient on a high pedestal.
Its machinery is powered by a 2.0 liter 16V Si4 petrol engine @ 237bhp for 5500 revolutions/min capable of developing the highest torque of 340Nm for 1750 revolutions/min. It catches 100 mph speed within 7.6 seconds, thus reaching approximately 220 km/hr of top speed providing 2000 cc displacement quite easily. It is controlled via 9-speed automatic gear box along with selection mode for the type of drive with paddle shifters and sports mode, All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPS) and 4WD system.
Interior and Exterior:
The car is buckled up with leather upholstery & an 8-inch infotainment all device connect system besides an all new looking dashboard and multi-functional rack with a pinion power steering. It also has rain sensing wipers, navigation system, soothing lighting, power windows, integrated 2DIN audio, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and auxiliary input, cruise control, climate and air quality control and cup holders at both front and rear sides.
From outside, the car carries the look of the diesel version, which has narrow LED headlights and upraised mesh front grille which cubic bonnet and sharp edges that give it a stern look. The bumper carries an upside opening door with number plate at the bottom grille and sleek LED taillights. It is 4.3 m long, 2.2 m wide and 1.6 m high with a 17-inch alloy wheel of wheelbase of 2.6 m. Overall the car weighs 2350 Kgs and can seat 5 passengers comfortably along with 575 liters of luggage space.
