New Honda Amaze

Honda cars India is launching its second-generation Amaze on 16 May 2018. They have Showcased in 2018 Auto Expo, the new Amaze is developed especially for the Indian market, based on the market research in India.

R&D for the new Amaze has been done at Honda’s R&D centre in Thailand, where the new Brio platform is also under development in sync with the Indian R&D centre.
Exteriors

The new Honda Amaze comes with a new design and not just with minor model changes. In terms of design, the new Honda Amaze does not carry any cue from predecessors. It is a new car from the ground-up. Moreover, it looks like a miniature City from the front. However, the changes are fresh and pleasing to the eyes. Masculine bonnet and fresh rear make it stand out of the clutter compact sedan market.

 Interiors

Similar to the exteriors, the interiors of new Honda Amaze is an absolute winner. Dual-tone dashboard, with new touchscreen infotainment system, puts Honda Amaze ahead of the competition. The carmaker has increased the width of the car, and the cabin is more roomy and spacious than before. The overall plastic used in the car is of good quality. It comes with 420-litre boot space.

Engine & Specifications

Amaze will be offered in both the petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant will be powered by 1.2-litre engine that will churn out 90 PS@6000 rpm of power and 110 NM torque@4800 rpm with a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.5 km/per litre for the manual transmission and 19 km/per litre for the automatic transmission.

While the diesel variant will be powered by 1.5-litre engine that will generate 100PS power at 3600 rpm producing a torque of 200NM @1750 rpm for the manual transmission claiming a fuel efficiency of 27.4 km/litre.

Amaze Variants

The new Amaze is expected to come in four variants -- E, S, V and VX, going by the leaked spec sheet.
