Much Speculated Maruti Ignis Features Disclosed

Recently we shared how Maruti Ignis stands amongst the top 5 premiums under 10 lakh bracket. Ignis, which is to be launched on the 13th January is open for bookings for a nominal amount of 11grands. The company has also revealed its features now. It will come in Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha versions, varying in their transmissions and some basic exterior and interior. It will lie in the price range of 4.5 to 7 lakhs. 

Transmission:

The car shall be powered with a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine with 81.8bhp @6000rpm; supportive of  113Nm @4000rpm torque and 21 kmpl mileage along with 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine with 74bhp @4000rpm supportive of 190Nm @2000rpm torque and 28 kmpl mileage. Both will be operated via 6- speed MT or AMT gear-box, inheriting its engine design and cabin functions from Baleno.

Exterior:

The crossover will be offered in dual tone color options like - uptown red in midnight black, tinsel blue in pearl white and tinsel blue in midnight black available in Zeta and Alpha versions and monotones of pearl white, uptown red, silky silver, and tinsel blue available in Zeta and Delta, urban blue in Sigma and glistening grey in top-end Alpha versions. The car will have all the safety and luxury promising features. Some notable ones are front, side and curtain airbags, ABS, EBD,  lane departure warning, electronic stability program and hill descent control. It's given a mini gypsy-like look with broad cubical LED headlights and fog lamps below it which have automatic leveling. It will be 3700 mm long, 1700 mm wide and 1600 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2500mm (180 mm ground clearance).

Interior:

The car will provide a comfortable ride to 5 passengers with a boot space of 260 liters expandable to 420 liters with 40:60 split back seats with leather upholstery. It will have light mood eye soothing lighting inside with a 6-inch infotainment system next to a newly designed dashboard and power steering wheel.

Competition:

If you are fancying for a "feature packed, within the pocket" SUV, this car is be a good pick. It shall stand against Mahindra KUV 100 and Hyundai i10 grand facelift.
