Mitsubishi Motor Works recently launched its Indian Darling Pajero Sports Select Plus edition at the price of Rs. 28.60 to 30.95 Lakhs. Though it needs more monetary investment to add more features to it and has high maintenance charges, its excellence on distinct terrains and extraordinary outlook stylising compensates for the same. It shall have an automatic and a manual variant with dual tone color mashup to choose from.
HIGHLIGHTS:
-The dual tone color combination makes it out of the league. The front holds projector headlamps, LED DLRs foglamps with thick black surrounds, radiator grille with chrome strips in between, The sides hold 17-inch alloy wheel with black tinctures, chrome plated door handles and ORVMs caps on the rear viewing mirrors. At the back, it begets wraparound tailgate cluster.
-The insides do not see much updates and follow the previous patterns. The cabin beholds dual tone color combinations and a 4WD drive option available now.
-Safety concerns are taken care of by adding ventilated disc and drum braking system, ABS, EBD, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, central locking system, engine immobilizer, impact protection beams and crumple zones.
-It runs on a 2.5-litre 178bhp 16V DI-Diesel Engine capable to generate178bhp@4000rpm peak power elevating 350Nm@1800-3500rpm torque to its best. It reaches a top speed of 190 km/hr in 14.5 seconds via 5-speed gear shift rack and pinion box. It has an engine displacement of 2477 cc, much better than its competence.
-It is 4695 mm long, 1815 mm wide and 1840 mm tall with a ground clearance of 215 mm projected by 2800 mm of wheelbase. It performs 13.5 Kmpl mileage on highways, which goes down to 11.5 Kmpl in city areas.
- It can comfortably seat 7 passengers with a cargo volume of 500 liters (possible because of 50:50 ratio split back seats with fabric upholstery), thus making it suitable for a fat family outing easily with all its luggage.
-Other conveniences include door courtesy lamps, electric type tailgate opening function, keyless entry system, GPS navigation, front and rear room lamp, reverse camera as well as front door pockets
-It shall go against Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Isuzu MUX which is gaining popular appreciation rapidly.
