Mercedes C300 Cabriolet and S500 Cabriolet Launched in India

The leading automaker Mercedes Benz is launching its Cabriolet C300 and S500 in the Indian luxury market, increasing Cabriolet range in the market.

The all-new C class convertible, showcases a very sporty appeal, its shorter than regular C class but the length and wheel base in fact are the same. What's different is roof and boot, which is much smaller. Moreover the fled wheel arches and sunroof defines quality!

Apart from the looks, the best thing in this car is the interior with high level finished cabin in special leather that doesn't really get spoil in sun, also the hood control and the new air cap system. A lot of effort is taken to see that air stays in place.

Mechanically it will be made available to buy with a single engine option. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol motor is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 245 horsepower. It is not something new for India as you can find the same unit underneath the GLC300 luxury SUV.

The engine will be coupled with a nine-speed automatic transmission in standard model and will get the option of Dynamic Select mode.

The C300 is offering a mix of choices between versatility, sporty performance and ride quality!

The Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet will be competing against the Audi A3 Cabriolet. The potent German machine has become the cheapest four-seater drop-top version as it goes on sale in our domestic market with price of Rs. 60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The other Cabriolet version that is expected to increase customers for Mercedes-Benz is the S500 based on the flagship S-Class.

The S500 will derive power from the bigger 4.7-litre twin turbocharged V8 mill which is good enough to develop a maximum power of 442 horsepower and a massive 700 Nm of peak torque.

The performance will be directed to the rear wheels through a nine-speed automatic gearbox. On the outside, the S500 will be identical to the S-Class Coupe launched last year in India. Priced at Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) S500 is set to hit the Indian roads.
