It’s raining SUVs and now it’s time for some German hint to it. The luxury car maker from Germany – Mercedes Benz is now up with its two SUVs - Mercedes-AMG G 63 'Edition 463' and Mercedes-AMG GLS 63. These SUVs are priced at Rs 2.17 crore and Rs 1.58 crore (ex-showroom Pune) respectively.
Now this SUV launch not only builds a strong product portfolio for the company but also boosts the presence of the company in the country. The company's position in luxury performance segment is spearheaded by the AMG sub-brand.
"With today's launch we further strengthen our AMG portfolio in India and are confident of leading the performance segment with fascinating product interventions," Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and CEO Roland Folger said.
Equipped with a 5.5 liter V8 super engine, this SUV accelerates to the speed of 100 km/hr in mere 5.4 seconds and the wooing top speed of 210km/hr is worth the drool.
Loaded with features, right from off- road reduction gear to the electronic traction system helps the company in enhancing their off-roading capabilities.
In the January-March quarter, the company had posted its best ever quarterly sales in India at 3,650 units, albeit just a marginal increase from 3,622 units in the year-ago period.
