2017 has turned out to be blessed for the German Automakers, Mercedez-Benz. They recorded sales of 3,650 units in just 3 months! Last year, it was 3622 units, which was close enough to the mark hit this year's first quarter. It is accounted to the recent launches of their most popular SUV GLC and the saloon e-class.
"After the lost opportunities in 2016, we are seeing growth momentum returning. What we saw in the first quarter of this year is as per our expectations," Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director & CEO, Roland Folger just made this statement and also shared that the automakers sold 13,231 units in 2016, 1.8% lower as compared to 2015 sales but seems to climb up again in 2017. He is also eyeing the introduction of GST to work in favor of the sales digits and mark larger sales on the board till the end of the year.
The brand has always been for the rich class, but the company is also planning to enter the rural areas with their luxury provision in more of the affordable prices.
