Grabbing the 'car of the year' title with its Vitara Brezza and being in the talks with its Baleno RS, and Ignis launch, the company seems to be in hyperactive mode to take its name to all new heights in the Indian markets. Last few days, the company took some noticeable steps in favour of the brand building.

Considering the good market share in 2016, the manufacturers hiked prices of all their models up to mere Rs. 8014. It was the last in the queue of the price hikes and has hiked it the least as compared to the other competitors, who hiked it anything from Rs. 30000 to even Rs. 1 lakh. The company seems to have planned and plotted it well to keep the pace of their growth in the market paced up yet steady.

The Indian automobile conglomerate has also discontinued diesel based Ciaz so as to promote the much awaited smart hybrid conceptualized Ciaz that is expected to hit the markets this year itself. The car will see a change in the engine with 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine, battery and an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) increasing its efficiency of the fuel usage up to two folds. Rest shall be inherited from the previous edition itself.

 
It has also opened 200th Nexa showroom, successfully building up a dealership chain that would cater wider number of buyers for the company.
 

Right from gaining the top market share in 2015 and selling almost half the total number of passenger vehicles running on roads in that year, the company swiftly moved to 2016 and secured its place amongst the top three manufacturers and had a fair share of 70% of the total market share. Even for this year, the company seems geared up not to lose their momentum and has been taking right and apt steps in that lieue.<
