Lexus for us in march 2017.

Three premium models of Lexus, the high-on-luxury vehicle of Japan-based Autoworks-Toyota is all set to debut in India in March'2017. It will have RX450h SUV (90 lakhs approx.), LX450d/LX570 (35-40 lakhs approx) and the ES300h sedan (60 lakhs approx.) variants that will hit the market first.

The coming of this premium car manufacturer made headlines even in February 2016, without much execution. But it seems like this time the company is very keen to let loose Lexus amongst other major luxury cars by BMW, Audi, Mercedez-Benz etc. that already perform well in our country.

It shall be imported to India till the inauguration of its dealership in Mumbai. Toyota will look after the selling of the cars via showrooms located at Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi. They will have same service provisions, though their services will be done separately. It also might bring the sporty LS600h version to India by January 2018 after scaling the performance of these two variants in India. The bookings for this much-awaited launch has already in process.

But before making it to India, the company plans to undergo rigorous response collection from the Indian buyers and proper planning of successful launch of the automobile. They aim for a stable business for which they have already started executing the plan of achieving the sale of around 5000 units within 4 years.

Highlights:

Both the cars will be Hybrid systems. The RX450h model will have 3.5-litre, V6 petrol engine while ES600h will have 2.5 litre V6 petrol engine, with 300hp and 250hp of power and modified 18-inch alloy wheel base so as to provide a comfortable ride on Indian streets. The front has a classy deep X- shaped grille with ink blue logo of Lexus in the middle of it and narrow projector headlamps and peacock's beak shaped fog lamps.

Competition:

As the car will be imported, it will cost higher than other competitors in the market like  Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Range Rover, Evoque and MINI Clubman. On the other hand, the car has a popular speculation due to which people might choose to buy it as it is something new to their tastes and fancies.

Also, Tesla has announced its much-awaited launch of heavily featured Model 3 pricing Rs. 66 lakhs approx. Many other companies have also made up their mind to bring hybrids to India like Honda, Nissan, Volvo and Volkswagon. Let's hope for the best for Lexus in India.
