KIA Seltos makes a mark in Tech & Design

Kia is burning the markets across with its crisp design and user-friendly technology that comes in abundance in its yet-to-debut Seltos SUV.

India's preference to SUV is known that has only perpetuated by crowded availability. Seltos comes with a fresh breath somehow close to its sibling Hyundai Creta debut in July 2016.

What makes Seltos different? It's not just the style but substance. It has the largest number of variants in petrol and diesel, all available in automatic gear as a standard.

The bounty comes as multiple engine offering from 1.4 litre to 1.5 which will surely fetch some aggressive pricing. It's real time competitors, Hyundai Creta, Maruti S-Cross, MG Hector or Jeep Compass may find it tough to take on the latest entrant.

Seltos has at least a dozen features blended for India. Be it the reworked clutch for smoother transmission shifts in congested city crawls or acoustic features like bose music system for pleasure of your ears.

There's much for Seltos coming right in the bang of festive period which marks the advent of auspicious times and breakaway sales. Customers might be looking for something like Seltos to unleash their purse strings.

While Bharat Stage 6 comes as a standard across all models, it might not have an electric battery source like the MG Hector. An electric Kia is sometime away.

But whose buying them anyway.  The markets is grasping for fossil fuels while electric vehicle will need a lot of tech upgrades to come into mainstay.

Driving Seltos has been fun. Especially the petrol manual   and the diesel auto that craves all your desires. The pickup is smooth, gear shift short & slick while its interior is well placed and easy to guide. Besides the internet-based connectivity UVO that might lack efficiency just like our pathetic mobile service providers, the attempt to bed vehicle controls into the mobile has begun. Seltos like Hector and Venue provides freedom from keys and takes controls to wireless gizmos.

Talking about Seltos without it's dazzling Led lights would be unpardonable. It brings completely new freshness to the scene with large hexagonal headlights and uniquely placed bonnet line strip and chrome plated fog lamps. It's all Led that makes it unique in the segment. Probably the next generation Creta will come loaded with something similar.

The verdict is clear in favour of Seltos as the best buy of 2019. Its proportionate, crisp and ideal for a family of 5. What else do you want in today's times when safer mobility in a connected world is all that even James Bond aspire for. That's Seltos for you.
