The Jeep Compass Directs to India

Jeep is all set for the launch of its Utility Vehicle offering, the Compass, in August this year. This will be the first Made in India Compass that  jeep will offer and is likely to be fairly priced for its potential customers. This jeep will come in two engine options  – a 2.0-litre 172hp 350Nm diesel and a 1.4-litre multi-air turbo-petrol and will have 5 trim levels to it.

Jeep Compass Sport

Powered by a petrol and diesel engine, this machine comes with six-speed manual only. It talks entertainment with its 5.0-inch infotainment system (U-Connect) and is equipped with halogen headlamps and 16-inch steel wheels.

Safety is a concern for Jeep, thus this comes with additional safety features on offer like dual front airbags, four-wheel disc brakes and ABS, EBD, stability and traction control as well.

Jeep Compass Longitude

This variant in the Jeep Lineup comes with a diesel option only but it has got a keyless entry.  On the exterior, it has front fog lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels. Along with this, Jeep also has to offer rear parking sensors and dual-tone interiors in this variant.

Jeep Compass Longitude (O)
Jeep Compass Longitude comes with the same engine as that of Jeep Compass longitude. Backed with a  7.0-inch infotainment system (U-Connect) with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.


Jeep Compass Limited

Now this offering by Jeep is limited and exclusive and thus comes in petrol and diesel options. On the exterior, it has LED tail-lamps and a rear camera. What attracts the most in this car is the door sill. The interiors include grey leather upholstery. The Jeep boasts of its SelecTerrain 4WD system which is surely a cut above others. On the safety front, it has dual front, side and curtain airbags.

Jeep Compass Limited (O)
This Compass has some additional features HID headlamps and the contrast black roof. These features are exclusive in this model only.

The Compass variants expected price ranges between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. Competitors in the lineup are Hyundai Tucson, the Ford Endeavor, the Toyota Fortuner and the recently launched Volkswagen Tiguan.
