India bound Nissan Leaf Launch on 6 September

Its raining electric cars in India. Almost every company is ready with its EV and want to just dive into a pool of sustainable development and environment sensitivity. And so is Nissan.

Nissan’s globally well recognized electric vehicle, the Nissan Leaf is all set for its global unveil this September. If speculation and sources are to be believed, this Nissan electric will be launched in India as well.

Sources say that the company wants to sell the Nissan leaf in the country so as to know now the country responds to a product like this. The company is planning to have a pilot phase of the launch of the electric in the country and this will definitely make the Indian EV market stronger.

The 2018 Nissan LEAF will be the first vehicle in the Japanese automaker’s global product line-up equipped with ProPILOT Park. The technology helps drivers park by automatically guiding the car into a parking spot.

Sonars and cameras on the new Nissan LEAF guide the car into most of the kind of parking spots, handling accelerator, braking and steering input. Still, the driver needs to monitor the area around the vehicle after activating the system and apply the brakes if necessary.

In the recent teaser launch Nissan released a glimpse of the new LEAF’s sharp LED daytime running lights and headlamp unit.

This new LEAF will come with a new battery pack. The largest pack of 30kWH lithium-ion batteries has speculated to offer a range of up to 547km.

It is more than twice the range of the existing model, apparently providing the tag of class-leader to the new LEAF.
