Honda To Reach Brazil With Its WR-V

The automakers straight from Japan recently lined up their latest product WR-V in India. It has already received a pre-booking of 3000 units in our country. As an expansion plan, the company recently discussed that it will export the product to Brazil as well, as was stated by a top official said in Chennai on Tuesday. Yesterday itself, the manufacturers announced a price hike of Rs. 10 thousand across all its segments but WR-V. Now, for the optimistic promotion and stable build up of the image of the SUV, the company shared its interest in foreign market expansion.

"Already, we are exporting few of our existing models to neighboring countries. This product may be exported to Brazil." Jnaneswar Sen told the reporters. According to him, earlier their premium model in sedan segment- Civic was selling about 2,000 units a month. Now, the volume of premium sedan market itself is only 2,000 units. Thus, a switch over to the more popular SUV segment is a good move that Honda is taking. On expansion plans, the company is also planning to increase its dealership network to 370 outlets from the present 336 units. Though their only sedan that seems to be doing good in India is definitely Honda City face lift, that saw 15,000 bookings of which 40 percent comprised of the top end "ZX" variant.
