Those long queues at the petrol pump are time wasting, isn't it? And a serious problem arises it you run out of fuel while traversing longer distances. And they refuse to give you petrol in bottles. And if it is a diesel based vehicle, you are in a big trouble. Well, the fuel companies are very sensitive towards your problems. Seeing these untimely ordeals, fuel biggies like Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have come up with the idea of delivering fuel at the doorsteps of the customers, and charge them online using the e-commerce.

Petrol Minister of our country, Dharmendra Pradhan made a tweet proclaiming that “Options being explored where Petro products may be door delivered to consumers on pre-booking. This would help consumers avoid spending excessive time on long queues at fuel stations”.

Every day, a fuel of Rs. 2500 crore is filled in the tanks of the vehicles of around 3.5 crore customers all over the country. Post demonetization, when the vision of our Prime Minister is to turn India into a digital market, Fuel Authorities wish to support the cause and bring in online transactions against provision fo fuel at home. For this, they will create an online portal where the customer can pre-book the amount and type of fuel and it will be delivered right away from the nearest Petrol Station.

Not only this, the oil companies are also planning to revise the oil prices daily, against the now existing check of the international fuel prices and currency exchange rate in about an interval of 2 weeks. It shall go effective in 4 cities for now, ie, Puducherry, Vizag in Andhra Pradesh, Udaipur in Rajasthan, Jamshedpur in Jharkhand and Chandigarh. This will make the fuel rate fluctuations up to date with the international fluctuations nad demarcate the rupee-dollar interface every day.
