Ford To Hike Prices Up To 2% By April

The American car major in our country has decided to hike prices unlike other companies like Maruti and Toyota which took the initiative at the start of the year. The price hike, as is stated by most of the car manufacturers, is to deal with the rising input costs.

The company performs well with their promising vehicle let outs like Mustang and the Figo hatchback. Recently, Volvo also hiked prices up to 2.5%, stating the same reason of increasing prices of rubber and other structural inputs, Even Honda hiked prices up to Rs. 10 thousand across all its segments in lieu of the sky touching input prices.

The price hike 2 % shall account for an approximate increase in the price of Figo to Rs. 21 thousand, Aspire to Rs, 19 thousand and Ecosport to Rs. 23 thousand. It has also reduced certain features from Ford Figo and Aspire models. From Figo, Front Grille Color has been altered from Ambiente and Trend Model, Vanity Mirror on Driver side is removed and fabric insert in door trim is removed up to Trend Model. It also lost Defogger, Height Adjustable Driver Seat, Recline Rear Seat, Fabric Insert on Door Trim. Even Rear Wash & Wiper, and 60:40 Split Rear Seat. It is likely to hit the sales of the variants as not only the price is increased, the features have also been eliminated that shall reduce its significance in the marketplace.
