The American Automakers have dispatched their compact SUV on Indian roads with a budget friendly costing of Rs. 6.69 lakhs with two options of the engine, ie, 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine or 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine. It will reach a top speed of 182 to 215 km/hr, depending on the variant you opt for. 
 
Highlights:
Some of the noticeable upgradations include blackened roof, new 17-inch alloy wheels, upsized tires and a few tweaks on the front and rear bumpers. Trend variant loses certain specifications like driver's seat height adjust, reclining and split folding rear seat, rear windscreen washer and defogger and rear parcel tray and Titanium and Titanium+ variants shall lose driver's armrest, lumbar support, daytime running lights and cooled glovebox. Interior:

The car gets an updated dashboard with an all new instrumental binnacle. The speedo console comes with a new 8-inch SYNC multiple information displays along with an infotainment system and new fonts. Other than this, the upholstery is also likely to be fabricated newly. The car gets a new multifunctional power steering wheel, rectangular-shaped AC vents and revised new central console. It has all the essentials in it like accessory power outlet, twin gas and oil filled shock absorbers, child locks system, parking sensors, USB and auxiliary inputs, blue tooth connectivity, 2 airbags, power door locks and engine immobiliser.
 
Exterior:
The facade of this new car has been upgraded heavily, especially at the front. The radiator grille comes with the next-gen Ford Edge. The hood, fenders, and headlamps have also seen not so prominent changes. The Indian edition of EcoSport will continue to have a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, giving it a tougher look. It shall be 3999 millimetres long, 1765 millimetres wide and 1708 millimetres tall with a ground clearance of 200 millimetres. It shall have 346 litres of cargo space with a comfortable seating capacity of 5 people. 
 
Competition:
The car shall go against recently launched Tata Hexa, Mahindra KUV200 and the most popular choice of the last year, Vitara Brezza. With low cost and likeable features, it is yet to be seen how the compact SUV is welcomed in the market.
