This American Car Manufacturer in India has scheduled the launch of Ecosport Facelift towards the end of January 2017 which was first featured in Los Angeles display of automobiles. The 4-meter SUV will see many cosmetic and interior upgradations. It is expected to gain attention of the masses owing to its wide range of facilities in the price bracket of 7-11 lakhs only.
Transmission:
The car will carry 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine,1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine or 1.5-litre TDCI diesel engine operated via 5-speed MT or 6-speed AT gear box and has 100bhp of power and 205Nm of torque or 110bhp of power and 140Nm of torque, depending on the model you choose. Its will go from 12-18 kmph mileage.
Exterior:
The front look has been spectacularly redesigned, adding LED projector headlamps, all new hexagonal front grille with bigger trapezoidal fog lamp and wide air dam and faux silver skid plates, present at the rear bumper and the number plate holder been placed on the tailgate instead. The much popular tailgate hung wheel has also been eliminated from the latest model. The side view of the car is drawn from the former Ecosport itself. It shall be available in white, mars red, kinetic blue, metallic silver, black,grey and chilly colour options.
Interior:
The interior has been improved upon in a fine manner. It has a newly designed dashboard alongside a multi-functional steering wheel and touchscreen 8-inch infotainment system with Ford SYNC-3, Apple Car Play and Android Auto for smartphone integration settings. It also possesses automatic climate control system, fast-charging USB ports with12V power socket.
Competition:
The last model witnessed a reduction of sales due to Vitara Brezza, the car of the year against it. This year, it might get a tough competition with Maruti Ignis, Baleno RS and Volvo V40cc and V40
