Ferrari and Lamborghini have no plans for an all-electric lineup

Ferrari and Lamborghini, are in the talks for the development of hybrid sports cars but will they be able to innovate a fully electric sports car or not, is what many people would like to know.

Michael Leiters, chief technology offer at Ferrari, said he could not imagine a fully electric Ferrari sportscar given the current limitations of the technology. “There is a need for more time, more innovation to get the same performance, and, what's even more challenging, to get the same driving pleasure that we have today," he told reporters. "Just think of the sound and things like that which are essential for us. For us the first step is hybridization."

Stefano Dominical, the chief executive at rival Lamborghini remarked by saying that the company would put in all its energy in developing hybrid sports cars and will make up policies that would exploit the potentials of the V10 and V12 engines.

According to the two chief’s development of an all-electric sports cars is not the immediate things. It can happen only when the technological barriers are lessened and till the time in not reached making hybrids is the only thing the two companies are concentrating on.
