Mercedez-Benz, the German fame in India auto sector takes its certain models under the "Make In India" banner. The move shall reduce the cost of its products, due to the oncoming of GST which will differ from the current ex-showroom pricing by 2% to 9%, depending on the model of purchase. It shall reduce the cost up to Rs. 7 lakhs on Mercedez-Benz models whose compilation of components take place in India.
The models to be benefitted by GST cost reduction shall be CLA, GLA, C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, GLC, GLE, GLS and Mercedes-Maybach. Even before the implementation of ST, the cost revision will bring about a relief of 4% average.
Recently, a report stated that the taxation procedural changes are going to affect the small car buyers, with an additional 1% to 3% cess as compared to SUVs and other luxury cars with fixed 28% overall cess only.
