The budget friendly cars for 2017

Is your budget under 10 lakhs and you planning to buy a car for your nuclear family? Well, the market has a lot to offer to you as 2017 is on its way. Here are five much speculated launches for the next year with their highlights that might help you in making up your mins as to which car you want to buy.

1. Maruti Ignis

Featuring ahead of Baleno RS, Maruti Ignis has much wider audience, owing to its sporty looks and awe deserving interior and functions.It will lie in the price bracket of Rs. 5-7.5 Lakhs, expected to go on sale from mid january onwards.

Highlights:

This hatchback is given a crossover-ish look with square LED headlights,  raised front grille and a handle slit over its round top. It is available in1.2-litre K-series petrol motor (84.3PS/ 115Nm) along with the 1.3-litre DDiS190 diesel engine (75PS/ 190Nm). Safety has been taken a good care of, by adding dual front airbags, anti-braking system and electronic brake force distribution system, with is rarely seen in a vehicle of this price range. 

2. Tata Kite 5

The vehicle shall range in between Rs. 5-6 lakhs with premium looks and many features to offer, expected to be seen after the January launch of Tata Hexa.

Highlights:

All new diamond shaped alloy wheels, B-pillar and roof with same colour as the body of the car and and a raised protruding bumper have been added to the vehicle. It shall carry 1.2-litre revotron engine with a transmission of 1199 cubic cms within 14 seconds. It is capable of reaching power of 84 bhp and a peak torque of 114 Nm with a mileage lying between 20-22 kmpl. The other one is 1.05-litre revotorq deisel engine with maximum power of 69 bhp and maximum torque of 140 Mn with similar 5- gear box MT transmission. The deisel variant can dispatch greater mileage of 27-29 kmph. The car is nearly 4 meters long, with wheel base of 2.5 metres that gives it a sedan look. 

3. Marui Suzuki Baleno RS

This trendy hatchback is expected to hit the roads in january'17 with a price bracket of Rs. 6-9 lakhs. 

Highlights:

It can seat 5 people comfortably on fabricated upholstery holding seats and soothing lighting. The cargo volume is also as spacious as 340 litres.The vehicle shall carry 1.0 litre 112bhp 16V Boosterjet Petrol Engine operated via 5- speed MT gear box. The looks and styling are majorly inherited from its previous edition. 

4. Hyundai Grand i10 Facelift

The very popular i10 will get updated to i10 Facelift the next year, lying in the price range of Rs. 6-7.35 Lakhs, depending on the variant Era, Magna, Sportz or Asta. It is expected to be launched in january or february

Highlights:

The car can cover 18.5- 23 kmph of mileage. New touchscreen AVN and auto aircon has also been added to it. It will be 3,765 mm long, 1,660 mm wide and 1,520 mm tall, giving the car enough space to comfortably seat 4-5 people. The front will carry cascading front grille and integrated round LED DRL headlights. It will have transmission Powered by 81 bhp @ 6000 rpm or 70 bhp @ 4000 rpm with a torque of 114 Nm @ 4000 rpm or160 Nm @ 1500 rpm.

5. Toyota Vios

Lying between 8-10 lakhs, the C- segment saloon shall be expected to come to India in Marhc'17, after being run successfully in 80 other countries round the globe. 

Highlights:

It will carry stern Projector headlamps, radiator grille, and an uplifted bumper, which will be new for the tastes of Indian buyers, something out of the league. It will have 5-speed gear box with 1.5- petrol or diesel engine. The fuel injection is electronic, carrying a 60 litre petrol tank. It can dgenerate maximum power of 107.5bhp at 6000rpm and torque of 141Nm at 4200rpm capable of displacing 1364 cubic cms within 14 seconds.
