NEW DELHI: Audi has confirmed that the S5 Sportback will enter the Indian market on March 22. The S5 Sportsback will be positioned above the A5 and below the RS5 in the Indian portfolio.
Audi S5 Sportback is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, the sedan will take on the likes of BMW M340i, Mercedes-AMG C 43 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 AMG.
Taking the CBU route to India, the S5 Sportback will offer a single 3.0-litre TFSI unit and the TDI unit from the global portfolio will not be brought to the country. The 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol mill offers a maximum power output of 349 hp and a peak torque of 500 Nm. The engine will be paired to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox.
The Audi S5 Sportback also flaunt the German automaker’s four-wheel-drive system, Quattro. The sedan can clock 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds. The 4 driving modes offered with the S5 Sportback are – Comfort, Dynamic, Individual and Auto.
