Audi To Launch 3 Electric Vehicles In India By 2020

It seems like a tug of war is going on between various car majors in our countries when it comes to uplifting new car culture in India. Recently, BMW made a statement announcing that they will be bringing their level 4 and 5 based fully self-driven cars in India. Also, Mercedez-Benz told to let lose two new SUVs and two new sedans that will be electrically operated. 
 
Now, Audi has revealed its plans of launching three newly designed passenger vehicles based on electricity as a fuel. The models that will come either in updated or all new forms shall be  A8, new-gen A6 and A7 Sportback. The manufacturers also plan to upgrade digital services and autonomous driving technologies for which Audi will set up a new subsidiary to work on self-driving vehicles.If we look at Audi's dispatches like h-tron or RS6 and RS7 plug-in hybrids, it is no doubt that the company is moving ahead in terms of technology and luxury rapidly. For the CEO though, the question is more about infrastructure, than broadening the technology itself. 
 
Not only this, the German car major in India has also announced the much speculated launch of Audi A3 Cabriolet on April 6th. It is expected to lie in the price bracket of Rs. 25 to 32 lakhs. It shall have peak power delevery of 148 bhp and peak torque of 250 Nm operated via 7-speed automatic gear box. Some of the highlights are that the interior might hold all new Audi’s virtual cockpit. IOn the outside, it shall carry A4 style single frame front grille and LED headlamps. The taillamps will go sharper and sleeker. Inside the cabin, the vehicle gets black treatment with new leather upholstery. The top-end model will get a 7-inch retractable screen for the MMI infotainment system, climate control and a panoramic sunroof. The car shall move from zero to 100 km/hr in mere 8.2 seconds and can attain a top speed of 225 km/hr.
