Aston Martin Get an engine Upgrade

The Aston Martin’s GT, the DB11, which was introduced to the market for the first time in the year 2016 is all set to get a wooing upgrade. The company plans to offer the car with a new 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Also available with the current 5.2-litre twin turbocharged V12 engine, this new power plant will help the British carmaker to expand DB11's global appeal.

This significant change will open Aston’s door to new levels of efficiency and performance.

The car made its debut in India, in October 2016 and was sold at a price of 4.27 crore (ex-showroom). So, the new engine is also expected to be available in the country soon.

The car when mated with the V8 engine is capable of producing a 675Nm torque               and churn out 510 PS of power. This engine will propel the DB-11 to reach to 100kmph speed in 4 seconds. The top speed that it offers is 301kmph.

This exceptional performance is matched by better efficiency, claimed to return an EU combined fuel economy of 12.12kmpl. It will also deliver lesser CO2 emissions of 230g/km.

The V8 will also bring a good amount of benefits in the markets as the taxation policy is structured around engine capacity.
