Apple’s to come up with an iCar

After a humongous success of a line of products like mobile phones, computers, tablets; worlds one of the top electronic company is undertaking some heavy held research and in finally diving into the world’s fastest growing industry.

Get your guesses correct. Apple Inc is now concentrating on the technology for self-driving cars, Chief Executive Tim Cook said for the first time in an interview with Bloomberg.

"We're not really saying from a product point of view, what we will do ... it's a core technology that we view as very important," Cook said in the interview.

In order to develop this concept and initiate this, the company is hammering the nail and has already hired the world’s best auto experts to make it up for its late entrant to the self-drive race.

The company has already secured a permit in April to test autonomous vehicles in California

The idea of seeking to build its out car has been lying in the books of Apple for long, however it recalibrated its ambitions by prioritizing the underlying technology for autonomous driving, Bloomberg News reported. If the reports are to be believed then the iPhone maker had hired more than 1,000 engineers to work on Project Titan, as the car team is known internally, after it started in 2014.

“There is a major disruption looming there,” Cook said on Bloomberg Television, citing self-driving technology, electric vehicles and ride-hailing. “You’ve got kind of three vectors of change happening generally in the same time frame.”

Apple has also invested $1 billion last year in Didi Chuxing, the biggest Chinese ride-hailing service.
