Since a few months, India is experiencing this sudden change where every car maker is turning their cars into electric and hybrids thereby making their electric portfolio strong. Cause they know that electrics and hybrids are the need of the hour as well as the talk of the town.
After other companies like Mahindra, Skoda, Toyota and Maruti have already announced their plans to launch their new hybrids by the 2020 - 2025 many others have been rehabbing their previous products and turning them into hybrids and electric.
Following this trend and keeping itself upright with the disruptively changing market, Jeep announced lately that it will be launching the hybrid variant of the Wrangler in the 2020.
The head, Mike Manley, at the ongoing Los Angeles Motor Show, announced the news.
Jeep also believed that the future is completely electric and inevitable. It believes that turning into Hybridity and electrification will not only make it future ready but will also help in improving the fuel economy and reduce the carbon emissions.
Mike also showed his interest in the Indian market saying that though India has always been a slow adapter of the new technology cause of its diverse markets but there is a certain section of it which always welcomes innovation. Launch of this and other hybrid vehicles in India is certain but other when the time is right.
