The Rs. 2,50,000 crore conglomerate that is among the top rankers in viscose staple fibre, carbon black, insulations, telephony, and fertilisers production and provides services like life insurance, 42 schools, 18 hospitals, and women empowerment and sustainable development is all set to enter the premium vehicular production with the German car brand Bentley Motor Works (BMW). Globally, BMW will be the official supplier of premium vehicles for Aditya Birla Groups for 70 companies established in 50 countries. Some of them are Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, France and UK where the group is already functional.
Now that the company will manufacture for the Indian business tycoon, they will also render free services like preferential pricing, customised financial services and after-sales support. The Joint President - Corporate Administration, Subrato Sarkaar said that the move will bring in the BMW luxury experience closer to the facade of our country and will benefit their group employees significantly.
It seems the group, just like its parallel Reliance, wishes to enter as many realms of the market as possible, so as to earn profit from all the corners of the world. With such a huge net worth, the investment wouldn't be an issue. Considering the stature and performance of BMW in India, it is undoubted that the global alliance of the two will fetch a good brand building for the company, especially in the countries it will debut under the BMW banner.
