Honda Cars India Limited recalls 57,676 units to replace the faulty driver side airbag inflators. These 58,000 vehicles include the previous generations of Jazz (hatchback), City (sedan) & Civic (sedan) produced during January 2012 - June 2013 as a part of its Global Recall Campaign.
According to Honda, the TAKATA airbags (20% market holder of airbag production), can explode and hurl shrapnel into the passenger compartment.

- The replacement campaign starts from 20th February 2016 and is free of cost.
In September 2015, 2.24 lakh units of it premium sports utility vehicle CRV, sedan Civic, City and hatchback Jazz were recalled too.
In December 2015, 90,210 City and Mobilio produced in July 2015 were recalled to replace the faulty fuel return pipe.
Honda recently recalled 2.2 million vehicles in the US as a part of its Global Recall Campaign.
