The Swedish luxury car manufacturer has got something more to India. Something that’s luxurious, premium and of course, much awaited. Volvo on Tuesday launched its premium luxury vehicle- the SUV XC60 in India.
The Volvo XC60 is based on the scalable platform architecture and underpins both XC90 and the S90.
In terms of the features it has a really long list. The car comes with air suspension, 4-zone climate control, and ventilated front seats and Nappa interiors that add to its luxurious feel. In addition to all this it has a really powerful sound system- and a 15-speaker audio system from Bowers and Wilkins.
The company has also taken a great care of the safety in this car, thus it is equipped with adaptive cruise control, pilot assist, lane keeping aid, park pilot assist, 360 degree camera, hill start assist and HUD mode.
It comes with a powerful engine under its hood, a 2.0-litre D5 diesel engine that churns out 235PS of power and 480 NM torque matted with 8-speed automatic gearbox powering all wheels.
Volvo has been creating the best cars especially in terms of the safety of the occupants. But this car is said to be the most powerful SUV in the segment. And will give a tough competition to an already strong lineup in the range which includes Mercedes Benz GLC, Audi Q5, Land Rover Discovery Sport and BMW X3.
