Nissan Steps into the Autonomous world with the “Easy Ride”

Nissan has been in news since quite a while about coming up with “the technology of the future”, that is, the autonomous cars. With all the companies coming up with their concepts in the various auto shows conducted all over the world, Nissan has finally announced its robo mobility car.

Unveiling the Easy Ride - Nissan has now launched a sub brand that is into the robo-vehicle mobility service that they have developed jointly with DeNa. The company also has plans for a field test of the new technology with public participation in it. The company will begin its tests in the coming March.

The main aim of these two companies coming together is the combine and bring out the Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision, through technological assets in autonomous driving, vehicle electrification and connected cars, with DeNA’s experience in developing and operating driverless mobility services using its expertise in the internet and artificial intelligence.

The collaboration believes that this technology will give people more freedom of mobility. The concept is envisioned as a service for anyone who wants to travel freely to their destination of choice in a robo-vehicle.

The customers will be at ease by controlling everything from the touch of their finger. The can easily set up destinations and summon vehicles to paying the fare. With customers able to discover new local destinations through Easy Ride, the companies expect the service will also help energies cities and neighborhoods.
