Nissan Motors and Its Authorized Dealer fined for Car manufacturing defects

Gunaranjan C bought a Nissan Evalia XL from Laksmi Nissan in Narayanaguda, on January 9, 2015. Soon after his purchase, he started experiencing 3 problems with the car gear box, body vibration and vehicle suspension issue.

Post the problems reoccurred; he approached the service center of the dealership where he was told that the shock absorber and other 22 parts had manufacturing defects and they need replacement.

Post the above issues, in 2016, the customer sent an official written complaint to Lakshmi Nissan claiming that he has been cheated by the company and its dealership as he had been sold a defective car.

Further, after he didn’t receive any relief from the company or the dealer, he took the legal route and filed a petition with the forum after which the company has been asked to pay Rs 14 lakh to the grieving customer.
