New-Gen S60 Sedan unveiled by Volvo

New Delhi:  Volvo India has unveiled its third-generation S60 luxury sedan in India. Bookings for the new model will start from January 2021 and deliveries will begin in March 2021.

Making its way to the Indian market more than two years after its global launch in June 2018, the car will come with a 2.0-litre petrol-only engine, producing 190 HP power and 300 Nm torque. The third-generation model is built on Volvo’s new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform that also underpins the likes of the S90 and XC60.

The car measures 4761 mm length, 2040 mm width and 1431 mm height. The automaker claims it to have the largest wheel base in its segment, measuring 2872 mm.

The S60 offers three drive modes of comfort, eco and dynamic, along with Harman Premium Sound System, 10-multi spoke black diamond-cut alloy wheel, four-zone climate system, wireless phone charging, panoramic sunroof, park assist camera rear and LED headlights with active bending lights.

Safety features in S60 include adaptive cruise control, pilot assist, oncoming mitigation on braking, city safety with steering support, lane keeping aid, driver control alert, speed alert and brakes with hill start assist.

The third-gen S60 will be offered in five colour schemes of Crystal White Pearl, Onyx Black, Maple Brown, Fusion Red and Denim Blue. It will rival the likes of the BMW 3 Series, the Mercedes-Benz C-class, the Jaguar XE and the upcoming Audi A4.
