NEW DELHI: India's biggest carmaker Maruti plans to launch BS-VI compliant S-Cross in August 2020
With Maruti Suzuki phasing out all diesel engines, it is almost certain that the BS-VI compliant version will have a petrol engine, similar to the BS-VI-compliant Vitara Brezza.
The K-series engine makes 107 PS and 138 Nm and comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox or 4-speed automatic. The new S-cross will have a mild-hybrid technology in only automatic versions.
The BS-VI-compliant S-cross is likely to be priced between Rs 8.5 lakh-Rs 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
