Honda launched New City sedan, price starts at Rs 10.89 lakh

Honda Cars India which started its India journey with the most popular and most loved car by customers City,  has launched its new version with fresh look and features. 

City sedan will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

Petrol variant will be powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC engine that will be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT option. The engine churns out 121 PS of power at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm.

The petrol variant will deliver 17.8 kmpl of mileage for the manual variant and the CVT one will deliver 18.4 kmpl.

Diesel variant of the City sedan will be powered by a 1.5L i-DTEC engine, which will be clubbed with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine churns out 100 PS of power at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. It returns 24.1 kmpl of mileage.

As per Honda, the sedan is India's first connected car with Alexa remote connectivity feature that gets next-generation Honda Connect with Telematics Control Unit (TCU).

Further, it comes with a host of design changes compared to the outgoing model and arrives as the longest (4,549 mm) and widest (1,748 mm) sedan in its segment, receiving ASEAN NCAP 5 star rating.

Among other features, the new City is equipped with electric sunroof, full LED headlamps, LED tail lights, 17.7 cm HD full-colour TFT meter with G-meter, LaneWatch camera, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Agile Handling Assist (AHA).

The midsize sedan competes with rivals like Maruti Suzuki CIaz, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid and Toyota Yaris.
