Citroen has aggressive plans for India with 4 new SUVs

Citron has entered Indian market again, its a second attempt, they are tempted for this fast-growing automotive market with 1.4 billion population. Citron has started manufacturing facility & office in Tamilnadu. In fact, they have created one model showroom facility in Ahmedabad. Also, rumors are they shifting their marketing and sales office to Gurgaon, which is already a hub for most of the carmaker's sales and marketing offices.

Citroen had revealed that they have a C-Cube program under which the brand plans to launch a new vehicle every year till 2023. All the vehicles launched in the country during this time will be developed and manufactured here in India. India will also be the first market where these cars will be launched. To begin with, Citron plans to start with two vehicles, One of them is the Citroen C5 Aircoss and the other is a sub-4 meter compact SUV likely to known as Citroen C3 Sporty (codenamed C21). C5 Aircross is likely to be priced against Jeep Compass whereas the C3 will compete with cars like Maruti Brezza in the segment.

Citron was planning to launch from 2020 but unfortunately due to pandemic situation, all the plans got delayed by a year it seems.
