The Biggest Motor Show, Auto Expo is here again

Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2018’ is being organized by Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) jointly with Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Auto Expo, the biggest extravaganza and much-awaited event of the automotive industry in India, is scheduled to kick-start in the second week of February 2018. The Motor Show is scheduled at the state of the art exhibition facility, the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida from 9-14 February 2018. The inauguration of Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2018 will be held on 8th February 2018.

The 2018 edition aims at creating an alluring experience for the visitors by resurrecting a new brand image which will not only just focus on static display of motor vehicles, but will focus on ‘’Entire Mobility Eco-System’, a complete automobile package with the theme of “Co-Create, Co-Exist and Celebrate”. This metamorphosis will not only rechristen the image of ‘Auto Expo – The Motor Show’ internationally, amongst the illustrious line-up of motor shows but will also allow the discerning visitors to experience, comprehend and appreciate the kaleidoscopic journey of the automobile industry, especially over the last 20 years. The auto show will portray a complex labyrinth of safety, emissions and sustainability in a juxtaposed blueprint, to share the complex evolutionary cycle of the automobile industry.

Keeping this in mind, 6 special zones are being introduced to provide the visitors with a holistic experience of the industry, namely:

  • Automotive Innovation - This zone showcases various innovations in the last 12 months by organisation, educational institutions and start-ups that have and will positively impact everyday lives. Electric vehicles and Technology solutions will see special focus
  • Exotica - This zone will see display of heritage cars and super cars and will be curated by their associations
  • Motorsports - Motorsports club of India will display rally vehicles and various memorabilia
  • Auto Gaming Arena - E-gaming Society to organise first All- India Auto Gaming Championship
  • Future Mobility Experience - Virtual reality experience of driving connected and autonomous Electric Vehicles on various roads to introduce the concept of future mobility
  • 70 Years of Indian Automobility – A special zone on 70 years of the automobile industry in India, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of our independence
  • Anti-counterfeiting – Various engaging activities of SIAM to promote genuine spare parts
  • Application Vehicles – Display of various application vehicles like Milk Van, Army Trucks, School Bus, Postal Vehicle, Fire Tender, Refrigerated Vans, etc.

 

Due to an increasing demand and footfall of visitors in the previous edition, the organisers decided to extend the motor show with one additional day. Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2018 will witness participation of Vehicle manufacturers such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mercedes Benz, Mahindra & Mahindra, Honda Cars, SML Isuzu, Renault, Hyundai, Toyota Kirloskar, Hero MotoCorp, Ashok Leyland, TVS Motor, HMSI, Piaggio, BMW, Honda Motorcycles and Scooter, India Yamaha, JBM Auto, Suzuki Motorcycles, and many more major players in the Indian market. Apart from the above vehicle brands, there will be some new entrants in this edition like Kia Motors and India Kawasaki etc.

The venue is scheduled to offer a multitude of cuisines through renowned food vendors catering to the varied taste of the attendees. Adding to the delight and quintessential savoury would be major quick-service restaurants and fast food chains ranging from international majors like KFC, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Subway to other giants like Pizza Hut, Punjab Grill, Haldiram’s, Domino's and many more. The food court area has been ramped up by 2,000 Sq mts, sprawling and encapsulating multifaceted flavours to titillate the palate of the visitors.

Online booking of entry tickets have been commenced and are exclusively available on BookMyShow.com. The tickets for the expo are priced between Rs. 750 to Rs. 350. Tickets for weekday’s business hours will be Rs. 750 and for public hours will be Rs. 350. The business & public hours will be from 10 AM - 1 PM and 1 PM – 6 PM, respectively. The weekends will be public days from 10 AM – 7 PM, with tickets priced at Rs. 475. Due to an increasing demand and footfall of visitors in the previous edition, the organisers have decided to extend the motor show with one additional day. The ticket price for the additional day (February 14th) will be Rs. 450.
